The demand for strategically planned group travel has never been higher, and LIWLIG Travel is expanding its team to meet the need. With two new hires and a trainee on board, the department now consists of seven specialists dedicated to crafting bespoke travel experiences for businesses, clients, and partners. “We are well-equipped to handle even the most complex requests and clients with the team we have now. Our diverse backgrounds and expertise are a great advantage for our customers,” says Eirin Solberg, Head of LIWLIG Travel.
Corporate Travel Beyond Employees
Traveling together is about more than just getting away from the office—it’s about strengthening relationships, both internally within a company (enhancing engagement, motivation, and a sense of belonging) and externally with clients.
A growing trend is that companies are not only taking their employees on trips but also including clients and partners. This approach fosters a deeper understanding of each other’s professional lives and builds stronger business relationships.
Sara Åkesson Ypma, one of LIWLIG Travel’s newest team members, highlights the combination of events and travel as one of LIWLIG’s greatest strengths, where the experience itself is the goal.
“LIWLIG is a leading event agency, but what sets us apart is that we have a dedicated travel division. We also take a highly client-centered approach, which I find incredibly rewarding,” she says.
Expertise That Adds Value
Vivian Wedde, another recent addition to the team, brings valuable industry experience:
“I have extensive experience in both the private and corporate markets within events and travel, as well as a background in the hotel industry. This has given me a deep understanding of the value of exceptional service—an essential factor when creating trips that inspire and engage,” she explains.
After six months as a trainee, Sarah Celine Mostue has gained unique insights into what it takes to deliver tailor-made group travel.
“I’ve developed a strong ability to understand clients and their needs. There’s so much behind the scenes that the client never sees—but that’s exactly how it should be. That’s why we exist—to ensure everything runs seamlessly,” she says.
The Market Demands More – We’re Ready
Expectations for corporate trips are higher than ever. When companies invest in travel, it has to be well-planned, flawlessly executed, and deliver real value. Many businesses lack the internal capacity to organize such trips, making it beneficial to partner with an agency that has expertise in managing complex travel and events, an innovative approach, and a strong global network.
“We’ve noticed that corporate events now take place almost exclusively on weekdays, while travel is still something people are willing to dedicate a weekend to. But for that to work well, the program needs to be balanced—offering both meaningful experiences and personal time,” says Solberg.
